I started off this winter break pretty well! I went home right after school, bringing home the bassoon and forgetting my concert band sheet music. I took a breather and then spent the next couple hours making like 25 Christmas cards (for the whole drumline!)… so I was pretty much rushing out the door, and if you don’t know, it takes a while to get to Luke’s (he lives in the North area!).

THD Holiday Party (in list form, because I do that):

• Arrived to see a handful of people playing Rock Band 2 hooked up to a biiig TV
• tried to cover an end table with people’s cell phones
• the Santa float (w/some cops) came to Luke’s street — free candy canes, and a photo with the big guy
• Cherish and Michael brought a 6-foot long burrito (from Maria’s on PCH)! It was SO GOOD.
• We watched THD ‘97 on VHS! pfg~ Aw at younger Karl on tenors and younger Ria on cymbals
• White Elephant gift exchange- quite amusing! From Christine, I got an adorable stress reliever keychain shaped like peas in a pod :3
• I gave Ben and Luke their gifts— :D a Muse tee for Ben, and a solid colored scarf from H&M +Hello Kitty keycap for Luke.
• KARAOKE — was a hit once again!
• I got to see Luke’s room for the first time; he walked me through it and all. I don’t think he would have been able to run out of things to show me!
• It got late and my mom was getting exasperated, so after the tour of Luke’s room, I had to peace out
• …but Karl was sucked into a video game
• Karl was Christine’s & my ride home: “You guys have a curfew… but I don’t!” Well yeah, Karl. You’re only 30. :P

I got home at midnight; such a fun night! I went to bed at 2:00.. because I CAN! Break should only get better from here
