I have to say, I have no recollection of myself taking these photographs in the surgeon’s right after my surgery… but they couldn’t have been anyone else! I think they’re pretty well-taken whether I’m on anesthetics or not; I can’t take handheld photos for my life.
I wonder if this is how people feel when they look in their cameras after a drunken night? Oooo, like in The Hangover??? This is kind of scary.

FUCK ME I MEAN ABBEY ROAD
Mine is a lyric in the chorus of ‘Pop’s Love Suicide’ by Stone Temple Pilots
‘Oh it’s a love pop suicide
Oh I’m in love pop suicide’
I used to be ahorsenamedhenry, and that was from “Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite” by The Beatles.
“And of course, Henry the horse, is gonna do the waltz!”
When I watched Across The Universe, I seemed to identify with Prudence the most, who played Henry the Horse on roller skates. And not to mention, it’s always been one of my favourite songs. But then I figured that people might start thinking my name was Henry. >.<
So, I dropped that. Now it’s tealandred, which are my two favourite colours (and my favourite colour combination!). Wish I had a better story…
Song by George Harrison. One of my favorites, and I just love how it sounds.

a.k.a one of metallica’s most kickass songs.
So I stood with a knot in my stomach,
And I gazed at that terrible sight,
Of two youngsters concealed in a barrel,
Suckin’ monkberry moon delight,ho!

anima → spirit
ex machina → in the machine
I was originally going for “ghost in the machine” referencing to Koestler’s book about man going towards self-destruction due to outside influences and such. Then I randomly came across the phrase “anima ex machina” from some website that had latin phrases. It described the difference between “ghost” and “sprit” where the ghost is a remnant of something no longer there while “sprit” is essentially still alive. I liked the idea of “spirit in the machine” rather than “ghost” since spirit since a spirit is more conscious than a ghost.
It alllllllll goes back to Ghost in the Shell (yes, the anime) that focuses on the flaws and setbacks of human conscious due to limits that are just…human, like the social enviroment affecting one’s opinion or actions. It’s just human nature. The replacement of “spirit” instead of “ghost”, in my opinion, illustrates that we’re not entirely victims of human councious boundaries. We’re not just shells or machines with limits.
TLDR: I like scifi, latin phrases, and I combined “ghost in the shell” and “ghost in the machine.”
abmeister= a nickname from my childhood. All but about two of the people who called me that back then probably have forgotten about it now. I feel weird whenever people who haven’t known me that long think they can call me that
